CTE! What is it?
Career and Technical Education commonly known by CTE, describes classes that are designed to prepare students for work. In some ways CTE is not that different from vocational education. The main difference and the most important is many CTE programs now focus on areas associated with associate or bachelor's degrees. Also these courses are designed to prepare you for additional study after high school, they are meant to be more academically rigorous than those vocational classes of a previous generation
What Type of Careers?
Most people automatically associate career and technical education with industrial careers. That actually is an outdated notion. There are a numbers of career inside of CTE including:

South Arkansas Community College has been a wonderful resources for this community. They have provided high school students with the opportunity to pursue training in six (6) programs in career and technical education. This program is free to qualifying students. The programs available are:
