What is "Great Adventure" ?
Great Adventures” is a new program designed to promote post-secondary and career readiness. The current program is a pilot program that is available to select students. Students will have the ability to gain points for everyday task and activities that align with their college and career goals. The points that students gain can be used in our incentive shop. This shop has everything from gift cards to testing fees waived. There is a complete FAQ list below to answer your questions.

FAQ's
Why Great Adventures? This program was designed specifically with you in mind. We want you to be motivated and inspired to work toward a better future NOW! The services we provide as College and Career Coaches are proven to lead to you being successful in future educational and career endeavors. Our overall objective is to ensure that you have an equal opportunity to be successful post high school. As stated, we have found that the services that are provided through our program are directly aligned with student success, however our biggest challenges are motivations and perception. "Great Adventures" has many feature designed to tackle those specific opportunities. "Great Adventures" is a pilot program and will be analyzed after 1 year of completion. The main component of Great Adventures is the incentive-based reward system. Rewards that matter to you for doing the things that matter to your future.
Am I eligible? There is an application process approval takes 3-5 business days or less. If you are a HUB student you are pre-approved but you must submit an application. Click here for Application (must be returned to guidance office)
How do I sign up? Application can be found here or in the Guidance office. Once application is returned please allow 3-5 business days to receive communication letter via email
What benefits does this program have for me? Great Adventures is a way for you to be able to grab cool prizes all while sealing the deal on a successful future. This program exposes you to a ton of resources that will empower you on your path toward college and career. Also special program opportunities just for you.
How does Great Adventures work? There are a number of different activities, events/workshops, or actions that you can take that will earn you points. You can use these points in our amazing incentive shop.
What activities and events do I receive points for, and how many points do I receive? You can receive points for anything from participation in one of the College and Career workshops to applying for a scholarship you qualify for. For full list click here.
What can my points be used for? You can purchase anything from gift cards to testing fee waivers. Refer here for full list of incentive inventory updated weekly (product count varies). New rewards added often.
How can I find out how many points I have? You must login to your “Great Adventures Google Classroom to check your points. Points are updated every Friday by close of day (4:00pm CST). Classroom Code 7xz0xh
When can I use my points? You must complete three (3) activities on three (3) separate occasion before you are able to use any points
How are my points gathered and stored? Once you are approved to be a part of Great Adventures you will receive an ID with your information. If you attend any events that qualify for points your badge will be scanned for attendance or another example if you bring confirmation into office of college application submitted you will have your badge scan at that time. Points are updated at the end of each week. And you must go into your “Great Adventures” Google Classroom and answer the attendance question or completion question. Ex. Did you attend FAFSA Night Aug 1, 2019? You must answer yes for your point of show.
What if I forget my badge during a workshop? You still have the chance to obtain points, however it requires follow up. You must always sign in to any sign in sheet and once come by either Ms. April or Mr. Andy’s office and we will take care of it. Make sure you answer your attendance question your “Great Adventures Google Classroom”
How will I know if the workshop is a qualifying workshop/Event? All workshops presented by your college and career coaches is a qualified program also the marketing material should have the follow icon

May I gift my points to a friend? You are not able to send or receive points from another student, however you are able to share your knowledge.
How many points do I receive for completing a college application? Here you will be able to see a full list of qualifying activities and the number of points associated
Do I receive any points for signing up for a 3-week certification course? Yes most definitely. Any post-secondary training that aligns with your overall care is what we want you to strive for. Please refer to the points list here
Are there any limits to the points I can earn? No there are no limit to the points you can earn
Where do I use my points? Once you are able to use your points you can come into the guidance office and come to Mr. Andy or Ms. April's office the incentive closet is open from 10:00am - 2:00pm M-F unless stated otherwise
Do my points roll over to the next school year? Yes you will be able to roll points over to 1 school year
What if I lose my reward ID card? You must have your reward ID to get points for events. If you lose your card please come by office pay $2 to have reprinted. Do I receive any points for signing up for a 3-week certification course?
